- Housing Grant For Disabled People.
The Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and People with a Disability are available to assist older people and people with a disability, living in a privately-owned property, to carry out works that are reasonably necessary to make the house more suitable for the accommodation of a person with a disability or a family member.
Examples of works covered by this grant are:

A ramp or other ways to access your home.

Grab rails.
-
Bathroom facilities like an accessible shower or downstairs toilet / wetroom.

Stairlifts.

Space for wheelchair access.

An extension (typically for a bedroom and/or level access shower room).
Conversion of garage to ground floor bedroom / wetroom.
Up to 95% of grant funding is available through your Local Authority.
